Supporters: John Lewis

After two years of running the campaign at my school I decided that I wanted to expand to more schools and realised that I needed some money to back this.

If I started with 10 schools across the South in 2009 that would mean about 2000 roses would need to be ordered at a cost of roughly £1.00 each.   I would therefore require £2000 approx in funding plus a further £160 in delivery costs. ( A total commitment of £2160).

I contacted a number of companies with the view to them loaning me this amount and heard nothing back until.....

Tracey Taylor of John Lewis called me to arrange a meeting.

Two meetings, some nice coffee and lots of phone calls later, we were invited back to John Lewis HQ where they “dropped the penny”.

They agreed to DONATE 2000 silk roses and provide delivery for FREE!

Obviously I can’t thank them enough.
