Information for Getting Started

Whether you are a student or a teacher everything you need to run Project Rose can be found in this section of the website.

To get started and register your interest all you need to do is contact us as soon as possible at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  In the email we need you to send us the following information:

1. Co-ordinator’s name and email and contact number
2. The name of the school or college
3. Confirm you have been given permission to carry out the project.

We will send you a confirmation email and add your school or college to our participants list for 2010.  Remember that the roses are in limited supply each year and are offered on a first come serve basis – so please reply quickly if you wish to get involved to avoid disappointment.

Once registered and on our 2010 participants list you can sit back and relax until mid January.  John Lewis will deliver the roses to your school or college in the last two weeks of January.  They are really good quality roses and aren’t cheap to buy.  Each rose lost directly affects what we can give back to Cancer Research UK - so please take really good care of them.

We recommend that you get a team together for marketing, selling and delivering the roses as soon as possible and that you take a look through the ‘Student Co-ordinator Instructions’ so you know exactly what is involved in the project.  We also recommend that you start marketing the campaign in early January so fellow students are well aware of what you hope to achieve.

You will find all the items you need to run the project under the ‘Downloads’ section.

Once the project is finished we ask that you email us again and advise us of the following:

1. Number of roses sold (and to be collected-if any are left over)
2. The amount raised (including any donations if taken)
3. The date the fundraising cheque will be sent

We then ask you to send a cheque for the amount raised made out to ‘Project Rose in aid of Cancer Research UK’ to Project Rose, PO BOX 584, Winchester, SO23 3GF. If your school needs to know our charity number it’s 1089464.

And that’s about it.  We really hope you enjoy taking part and have lots of fun with the project.

Thank you for choosing to helping us  - Love Lizze & Vic
